JAMB CAPS 2026/2027: How to Check, Monitor and Confirm Your Admission Status – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS) is now opened and active for 2026/2027 Admission monitoring.
Candidates can now conveniently monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS and stay updated on when an admission offer is made. Once a candidate receives an admission offer through JAMB CAPS, they are required to take one of two actions: accept the admission offer or reject it.
JAMB CAPS 2026/2027: How to Check, Monitor and Confirm Your Admission Status
Schools have already started uploading their Admission Lists on the JAMB Portal. We however encourage candidates to regularly check and monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS to ensure they take the necessary action promptly once an admission offer is made.
Some institutions may not publish their admission lists on their official portals or notice boards. Therefore, candidates who applied to such schools may have to rely on the JAMB CAPS portal to confirm when they have been offered admission. Regularly checking their admission status is essential to avoid missing an admission offer.
How To Monitor Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
- Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal and log in with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard. efacility.jamb.gov.ng/Login
- Select “Check Admission Status.”
- Click on “Access My CAPS” to proceed to the Central Admission Processing System.
- Select “Admission Status” to check whether you have been offered admission.
- If you have been offered admission, your passport photograph will be displayed alongside a congratulatory message confirming your admission offer.
- If you have not yet been offered admission, the portal will display a message indicating: “Sorry, No Admission has Been Given Yet.”
- Candidates who receive an admission offer can proceed to accept or reject the offer by sending ACCEPT or REJECT via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number linked to their JAMB profile.

According to JAMB, candidates have 4 weeks to accept their admission. Those who do not have their registered phone numbers are to visit a JAMB accredited centre to Accept or Reject.
It is also important to note that candidates who have accepted their admission should proceed to print their JAMB admission letter as they will likely need this during clearance and registration in the school that they have been admitted.
