The programme will provide ₦160,000 scholarships to successful candidates to pursue any diploma course at AltSchool Africa, along with career guidance, internship opportunities, and free laptops for selected beneficiaries.
Speaking on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Otigba said, “We’re addressing the ‘Olodo uprising’ issue one NYSC member at a time—that’s our own way of giving back to society.
“That’s why Tunde Onakoya, HackSultan, and I are launching a ₦250 million scholarship fund to help recent graduates acquire practical, high-demand tech skills that can lead directly to employment.”

According to the organisers, each successful applicant will receive ₦10,000 towards the application fee and ₦150,000 towards tuition, bringing the total scholarship value to ₦160,000.
Who can apply?
The scholarship is available to, current NYSC corps members, prospective corps members, and recent NYSC alumni

How to Apply
- Go to the NYSC Tech Job Scholarship portal: https://altschoolafrica.com/nysc#scholarship-support
- Fill out the application form using your NYSC details.
- Choose your preferred diploma programme at AltSchool Africa.
- Submit your application for review and eligibility assessment.
- Shortlisted candidates will receive guidance on admission and access to scholarship support.
Applicants without a laptop can also apply for the Laptop Scholarship Add-on, which offers free laptops to selected beneficiaries to aid their studies.
The organisers noted that applying for laptop support involves a separate process after completing the main scholarship application.
Available diploma programmes
Beneficiaries can enrol in any of the following courses:
* AI-Powered Fullstack Engineering
* Cybersecurity
* Cloud Engineering
* Data Analysis
* Technical Product Management
* Digital Marketing Automation and Sales
The programmes are expected to run for nine to 12 months, with learners beginning internship applications from the sixth month.
