Several candidates who chose the University of Ibadan (UI) as their preferred institution were among those who took part in the recently concluded mop-up examination. The exercise was supervised by Chief Technical Advisors, Chief External Examiners, JAMB directors, security personnel, and other designated officials.

The mop-up examination was held for candidates who faced biometric verification challenges, as well as those who had duly signed the attendance register during their earlier scheduled exams but were unable to sit for the test through no fault of their own. The exercise gave such candidates another chance to participate in the examination process, effectively concluding the Board’s 2026 UTME exercise.

The smooth conduct of the examination reflected JAMB’s dedication to providing all eligible candidates with an equal opportunity to take the UTME, irrespective of any difficulties they may have faced during registration or the main examination period.

They further applauded JAMB’s ICT system for facilitating a seamless and incident-free examination process. In their view, the successful and transparent conduct of the examination has strengthened confidence in the UTME system and created a solid framework for the 2026 tertiary admissions exercise.
