Qualifications and Experience
According to the university, computer literacy is a mandatory requirement for all positions.
Academic Positions
Senior Lecturer (AHUASS 05): Applicants must be established authorities in their respective fields and hold a Ph.D. from a reputable university. They should have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local, national and international journals, as well as relevant professional memberships where applicable. Candidates must also have a minimum of three years of full-time university teaching, research and administrative experience.
Lecturer I (AHUASS 04): Applicants must possess a Ph.D. from a reputable university, alongside evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals and relevant professional memberships where applicable.
Lecturer II (AHUASS 03): Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline or a Master’s degree supported by at least four relevant scholarly publications.
Assistant Lecturer (AHUASS 02): Applicants must possess at least a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
The university further specified that an MB;BS degree is required for positions in the Physiology and Medical Biochemistry Departments.
Non-Academic Positions
Technologist II (AHUSS 07): Applicants must possess an O’Level certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, as well as a B.Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy or Physiology.
System Analyst II (AHUSS 07): Candidates must possess an O’Level certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to a B.Sc. in Library and Information Science.
Clinical Instructor (AHUSS 09): Applicants must possess an O’Level certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, alongside a B.Sc. in Nursing Science.
The university also stated that computer proficiency and an NYSC discharge certificate or certificate of exemption, where applicable, are mandatory requirements.
Conditions of Service
The university stated that the conditions of service for successful candidates are comparable to those offered in public universities across Nigeria.
